The song has been remixed, and I’ve also re-recorded the guitar solo — and I’m really happy with how everything turned out.
This track has a pretty wild origin story...
It was written and recorded in one single day back in September 2013.
At the time, Dick Lundberg was working on a book and wanted to release a new song with every chapter.
I woke up hungover at his place, and before I even had my morning coffee, he hit me with:
"We're making a song today."
So I wrote the intro riff right there on the spot, and we built the rest of the song throughout the day.
On the bus ride home, I composed the piano and cello parts on my laptop — and later that night, I fine-tuned them and sent everything over.
A very different approach from how I work with Zornheym, but that’s part of what makes this track special.
👉 Make sure to give it a listen — and here’s a video of me playing the new solo in my home studio.
